The World Map of Recipes was created in September 2020, as part of Congregation Beth Chaim\u2019s recently assembled Racial Justice Task Force. The aim is to promote anti-racism, in addition to a 23-day challenge to increase awareness, and possibly change habits and perception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe wanted to encourage people to learn more about others’ cultures. One of the best ways to do this is through food. I have no previous map making experience. I searched different maps with the ability to add pins of different colors in order to differentiate between recipes with meat\/fowl\/fish from those of vegetarian or vegan ingredients. Most of those I found were based on PowerPoint, which wouldn’t work for us.
